About Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP)
The Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP) is a transformative initiative by the Government of Bangladesh and Asian Development Bank (ADB) aimed at enhancing industrial competitiveness through skills development and innovation. SICIP focuses on bridging the gap between industry requirements and available skills, fostering a culture of innovation and research in Bangladesh's industrial sector.
Under SICIP's umbrella, various programs are designed to strengthen the country's industrial base, improve productivity, and create sustainable employment opportunities. The program emphasizes the development of technical and vocational skills that align with modern industrial needs.

Eligible Entities
Applicants must be one of the following entity types, based in Bangladesh
- Academic or Training Institutions
- Research Institutes
- Staff/Student Team
- Industry Entity
- Individual Applicant
Requirements
To be considered eligible, applicants must meet the following:
- Have a valid business or institutional registration in Bangladesh
- Demonstrate technical capability to carry out the proposed project
- Submit an industry-relevant project proposal
- Be in compliance with national environmental and regulatory frameworks
- Not receive funding from another Government grant provider
- 1. Applying organization is not officially registered
- 2. The organization or individual affiliated with defense-related institutions or industries, including suppliers
- 3. The entity is non-compliant with Bangladesh laws or lacks required licenses
- 4. The applicant receives other grant funding in the same field without clear differentiation

No, EOI workshop participation is not mandatory for submitting the EOI. What is required is to register to the BIRDI portal. Moreover you may consult the Resources, Quiz and FAQ sections of the portal for required clarification. Furthermore you may inquire through birdi@sicip.gov.bd.
SICIP cannot facilitate building any partnership or forming any team.
